about

I wrote these songs right after I recorded Songs III: Bird on the Water. My friend Kyle was nice enough to record me for free for a lot of the songs. This was kind of before the computers made it easy to get better sounding recordings. I do love the lo-fi quality of these recordings in retrospect. One song, Conjuring Spirit Worlds, was an outtake from Songs III: Bird on the Water.

Track Name: Daisy and Violet
Daisy and Violet work at the market,
I hear they used to live on the road,
somebody told me, singing in side shows,
joined at the hips, all the songs that they wrote

Daisy and Violet, come in a vision,
double the dresses, double the fun
singing a harmony only a sister,
could sing of the times
and the freedom they won

Daisy fell ill and was followed by Violet
a neighbor would find them dead on the ground
somewhere inside the mind of a child
are harmonies only a sister could sing
